Marcie Ellen Duplantis

Marcie Ellen Duplantis, M.M., M.A.T. serves as the Director of Christian Formation at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, where she helps shape the spiritual education and engagement of adults, families, children, and youth within the congregation. She oversees Sunday morning Church School offerings and the Nursery program, nurturing faith formation for the church’s youngest disciples through its most seasoned members.

In addition to her formation leadership, Marcie directs the Children’s Choir, leading rehearsals for children from Pre-K through 5th grade that include singing, playing instruments, and enjoying fellowship in a fun and inclusive environment. She also teaches music at St. Stephen Presbyterian Day School.

Marcie is also a distinguished vocalist, educator, and conductor. She is a Teaching Artist for The Metropolitan Opera, a member of The Dallas Opera Chorus, an Instructor at Interlochen Center for the Arts – Interlochen Arts Camp, and a proud member of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).

She holds a Master of Music in Voice Pedagogy from Texas Christian University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Centenary College of Louisiana, is certified in K–12 Music Education, and holds a post-graduate certification in Vocal Pedagogy from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Marcie has also served on the faculties of Texas Christian University and Louisiana Tech University.

With nearly two decades of experience in ministry, Marcie brings energy, creativity, and dedication to her work. From guiding children in worship and artistic expression to nurturing youth through fellowship and mission, and offering meaningful opportunities for adults to deepen their faith, she plays an inspiring role in shaping the spiritual journeys of all generations at St. Stephen.
