The new hymnals have arrived and will be dedicated and used for the first time on Sunday, November 17th. A joint project between the Christian Education and Worship Committees St. Stephen placed its order a little over 1-1/2 years ago and paid for them with monies from the Library Fund and specific memorial money with permission from various families. By placing our order early, we saved a little over $6,000.00 on the purchase.
375 books were designated as memorials in the original purchase. Now, you have the opportunity to designate one (or more) in honor of friend, a family member, or as a memorial at $20.00 per hymnal. These bookplates will be placed in the front of the book. It is important that you act quickly so that all dedications are turned in by November 7 to allow time to prepare the bookplates. Talk to Beth Fultz or Mark Scott if you would like to participate and plan to be in church on Nov. 17 as we dedicate this wonderful new resource.
The current hymnals will be sold for $5.00 each after Nov. 17.
